On July 28 in Quetta, the Balochistan Assembly passed a significant amendment bill aimed at protecting women from harassment in workplaces. This bill is being seen as a major step forward and a positive development for women across the province. Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, expressed his satisfaction over the bill’s approval, stating that providing a safe and dignified environment for women is a fundamental responsibility of the state. He added that this law will help women feel safer, more empowered, and more confident.
The Chief Minister also appreciated the efforts of Advisor on Women Development, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, acknowledging that the passage of this law was made possible through her hard work. He thanked all members of the Assembly who played a constructive role in approving the bill. He emphasized that a civilized and developed society can only be achieved when both women and men work together as equals. This law is being regarded as an important step toward the promotion of women’s rights and the establishment of a safer social environment in the province.
